BOXING

MURRAY-PURDY MATCH TONIGHT DETAILS OF ARRANGEMENTS. The contest for the lightweight championship of New Zealand, between Les. Murray and Charlie Purdv to be decided to-niglit, has created unprecedented interest in boxing circles, and patrons attending the tournament at the Town Hall are asked to peruse an announcement by the association regarding arrangements for admission. The following preliminaries to the big contest are announced: M. Gaateia v. R. Callaghan, F. Keith v. Gl. F. Adams, E. Morgan v. Arthur Karim (New Plymouth). In view of the demand for tickets, there appears very little chance of the Town # Hall accommodating all those desiring to see Murray and Purdy in action. The box plan will close at 4 o’clock this afternoon, qnd from this morning a further supply of tickets will be on sale. Whatever ao co nmodation is then left will be available by ticket sales at the hall from 7.15 to-night. A notice of particular interest to honorary assistants appears in the advertising columns.
