TAMAHINE TO PELORUS SOUND
EAST TRIP THIS SEASON The excursion by the Tamahine this week-end will "be tlie last opportunity *■*J, weasbn of seeing the beauties of Pelorns Sound under the excellent \ conditions afforded bv this vessels’s trips. Leaving Wellington at 1.15-o.m. ' *o-day, the Tamahine should be back at the wharf again hv 9.30 to-morrow evening, during which interval will be crowded in the delights of seeing tho beautiful scenery of Tbrv Channel, Queen Charlotte Sound and the finest portion pf Pelorns Sound: a dance on 'deck at Picton on Saturday evening; a moraine at the head of Tennyson Inlet, with _ launch' -and boat cruises, fishing; swimming, and picnicking; and a call in the afternoon at Ship Cove with a close view from the steamer of the wonderful 1 tree-ferns and the Cook monument. Splendid land and sea-scapes the magnificent hnsh of Tennyson Inlet, and the appeal of sequestered waterways are all part and parcel of the trip, though |>y no means its only attractions.
