A PECULIAR POSITION

GERMANY'S THREAT FRENCH CRISTS A BLESSING IN DISGUISE. (Received March 10, 12.30 a.m.) LONDON, March 9. Herr Luther and Herr Stresemann declared at Geneva and Berlin that they would withdraw if any other Power wore admitted to a permanent sent, and it is stated with equal emphasis that Spain and Poland will withdraw if not admitted, while Unden on behalf of Sweden declared that he wound vet-o the election of any Power excepting Germany. Sweden would probably bo joined in this attitude by Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, and Holland. The French crisis will prove a blessing in disguise if the unexpected delay leads to a realisation of the true purpose for which the Assembly has been summoned.
