DOMINION’S. INCOME TAX

OF BRITISH MANUFACTURERS COMMON POLICY DESIRED. Eeuter’s Telegram --LONDON, March 6. The Associated British Chambers of Commerce considered representations of various Chambers in regard to income tax now levied by the Governments of certain Dominions, understood to be, namely, Canada, South Africa and New Zealand, upon British manufacturers, through their agents. The meeting passed a resolution expressing the view that such ■ taxation, if insisted upon, would seriously handicap the development of Empire trade, and trusting that His Majesty’s Government would arrange for this important question to be discussed at the forthcoming Imperial / Conference with a view to a common policy being adopted throughout the Empire. I lie resolution was sent to Mr Baldwin, Mr Amery, and Sir Philip Cun-liffe-Lister.
