MR WAKATSUKI APPOINTED WILL PROSECUTE EXTREMISTS. Reuter's Telegram. TOKIO, January 20. The Cabinet has appointed Mr Reijiftj Wakrtsuki, at present Home Minister, Prime Minister, as Viscount Kato will be unable to resume work for some time. Mr Wakatsuki said that the Government had agreed to adopt a more rigid policy against the extremist movement which had lately been tending to assume a political more than a social complexion. The new Prime Minister is 60 years or age. and has for many years been connected with the financial administration of Japan. ,He' has been MinisUt of Finance twice.
