DAYLIGHT ROBBERY

ACCUSED BEFORE COURT REMAND GRANTED. As an aftermath of the daring robbery which occurred in Cable street on Sunday morning last, two young seamen, William Patrick Sullivan, aged 22, and Frederick Stephen Smith, aged 24, appeared before Mr C. R. OrrWalker, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday to answer several charges of breaking and entering and stealing sums of money totalling' £2l 18s lOd and goods valued at £lO 18e 6d from the premises of Schneideman and Company, A Hatrick and Company, and the ■ Fletcher Construction Company. Sullivan was further charged with unlawfully assaulting a civilian who came to the assistance of the police. Both accused were remanded until February 3rd.
