Hyder proved the principal destroying agent for Thorndon. his fast-medium deliveries accounting for six of the opposing bats-

men at the small cost of seven runs apiece. Thorndon commenced their strike at about 5 o'clock, and at the conclusion of the final over had 86 runs on the board for the loss of four wickets. Roberts and Caulton both gave good displays for 22, while K. Mason showed enterprise in putting on a brisk 33, remaining undefeated at the drawing of stumps.
