A large, party of 519 passengers sailed from New York on Thursday for the Holy Land on an inter-denomina-tional pilgrimage. Many mortgaged their possessions to pay tbe fare. The trip will take 50 days. Bottles are carried to bring water from the river Jordan.—A. -nod N.Z.
