TEAROOMS GUTTED

DRAPERY STOCK- DESTROYED. Per Press Association. GISBORNE, January 24. A fire which broite out shortly after midnight on Saturday ’partially gutted the Grosvenor Tearooms. The proprietress, Mrs Anderson, had left the creimres only a few minutes when the outbreak was detected. Heavy damage was done by water on the bottom story to flio drapery stock of Charles Rosie, who ovned the building. The building was insured in the Alliance Office-for £7’oo, and the contents were also insured.
