HOTEL BURNT DOWN PRACTICALLY NOTHING SAVED. Per Press Association. HOKITIKA, January 22. The Junction Hotel at Kumara was burnt to the ground at 3.30 o’clock this morning, and practically nothing was saved, The Kumara railway sta* tion across the road waa badly scorched. The hotel was an old wooden building of two stories. It was owned by Kehle Bros., and occupied by A. Hill, and was insured for £6OO in the North British Office. During the progress of a bush fire near Marylands , (Q.), two old people wpre burnt to death. It believed that they sought shelter from the beat pnd smoke in a house which was destroyed.—Press Association,
