Sparks from the galley fire ignited the hood of a motor-car on the deck of the Tamahine when the vessel was alongside the ferry wharf on Saturday afternoon. The brigade was called out, but its services were not reouired, the outbreak being suppressed by members of the crew. The Tama, hine sailed at her usual time, 1.15 p m., for Ticton. The TCaituna left Sydney for Auckland at 6 p.m. on the 24th. She has on board nine bans and 134 parcel receptacles for Wellington.
