WEDDING IN AUCKLAND

A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew’s Church, Epsom, en Saturday evening when Miss Margare Ball, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs T. D. Ball, Oruaiti, Gardner road, Epsom, was married to Mr John A. Biss, son of the late Mr M. M. Biss and Mrs Biss, of Wellington. The Rev. Lionel Harvie officiated. The church was charmingly decorated with rambler roses in two shades of pink, trails oi which were looped across the chancel, and hanked along the railings. Clusters of roses were arranged) in tall vases in front of the altar, and posies of pink and white roses were attached, to tne ends of the pews, while a wedding bell of roses was suspended from the chancel arch. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lovely gown of white silk net embossed with silver roses over ivory georgette. Godets ot silk net fell from the hips and at one side a spray of orange blossom was arranged. Her tulle veil, which formed the train, was caught over the ears with clusters of orange blossom, , and she carried a sheaf of St. Joseph hues. ‘The bridesmaids. Miss B. Dali, siste. of the bride, Miss S. Rutherford and Miss M. Rowley, wore almond green frocks of marocain with flared BkU't' s attached to the deep tunics, and swatnings of tulle with loose enffir were caught around their heads with silver ribbons. Theit* Bouquets, were of pink sweet peas. Mr W. D. BaU was Rest man and Mr G. Biss and Mr S. Kitobenman were groomsmen. After the ceremony a reception was held at Oruaiti, where the rooms weie decorated with howls of pink roses and in the drawing-room the bride and bridegroom stood under a wedding bell of pink roses to receive the congratulations of the guests. Tfee Wedding suoper was served in the dining-room, where the table was charmingly arranged with gold and tangerine Iceland poppies. After the bride had cut the white and silver wedding coke tn* toasts of the bridal group were honour; ed. Mr A. B. Roberton, who proposcu the toast of the bride’s parents, bad officiated as best man at their wedding On arrival.at Oruaiti the guests were received by Mr and Mrs Bali, the latter wearing a frock of black romaxne embroidered in crystal beads.
