I don’t suppose any of you like washday, which generally comes on a Monday. Have you ever wondered why Monday is wash-day in almost every household? Well, I’ll tell you. Years ago, private houses in London were supplied with water only twioe a week. One of these days was Monday, and that was why. Monday was selected as wash-day.
