CITY MILK SUPPLY
SALES FOR THE MONTH RETAIL TRADE The report of the city milk department for November shows that the average daily sales of milk for the period amounted to 3903 gallons. For the corresponding month of last year 3621 gallons were sold. This year's figures show an increase of 7.83 per cent, over last year. Compared with the preceding month this represents a drop of slightly less than 1 per cent. “Records show,” the report says, "that this season we have held our retail trade right through the period of rising production and the fall in sales of approximately 200 gallons since August represents the . drop in dairy and other hulk sales which presumably has gone to the nearby farmers. “The cream sales also show an increase over the corresponding month of last year, amounting to 2.15 per cent.”
