A deputation representing the employers associations of the State urged the Minister of Labour to defer the date of the proclamation of the 44-hours week to enable the industries to prepare for the change. The deputation also asked that tile bill be held over until further efforts have been made to get the other States to come into lino with regard to 44bours legislation.
