SUCCESSFUL SHOW

WADESTOWN GARDEN SOCIETY HIGH STANDARD FLOWERS EXHIBITED LIST OF AWARDS The summer show of the above society, held. in the Infants’ Schoolroom, Wold street, on Saturday last, was opened by the Mayoress (Mrs C. J. Norwood). The initial staging in the schoolroom proved to be a great success, and was largely attended, particularly so in the evening. Considering the very had season which has been experienced this year, the exhibits were of a high standard, and the keenness of competition and general enthusiasm was very much in evidence. During the afternoon, tea was dispensed by the ladies’ committee, and greatly added to the success of the show. The Zealandic Orchestra provided an excellent programme of music both afternoon and evening, and those present readily expressed appreciation of an added and quite unexpected attraction.
