COMING DATES ALLOCATED CYCLING STANDARDS ALTERED, When the Wellington Centre of th 9 New Zealand A.A.A., met last evening, coming events were given * dates as under:— Donbank Honse Committee —livening meeting, Kelbum Bark, December 14th. Wellington provincial championships ' rHi n rtoa 0 a January SOtii. Second Devrar shield meeting at Wellington on January 16th. Combined meeting of Wellington and Athletic Clubs—permit granted, date to be arranged, by dubs concerned. Two amendments were made to rule 43. governing- harrier running, one alteration to provide that in the event of a tio in points the times of the first four men of each team so tieing shall be totalled up and the team with the smallest aggregate time shall be in the running team. The other amendment provided that the names 6hall be struck out of all runners except the numbers to finish of each A team, and the placings shall be renumbered accordingly. A recommendation is to be forwarded to the, N.Z.A.A.A. that the standard for one mile cycle grass track be 2min 20sec, instead of 2miu 30sec, and the standard of mile banked track be 2min lOsec, instead of ‘Jmin 20sec. The council will also be asked to alter the standard for three miles grass and banked traefc cycle to 7min SOsee and 7 min respective ly.
