GOLF NOTES
WELLINGTON CLUB The members of the Wellington Golf Club played a bogey match, one of three for tho men's cleek, on Saturday afternoon last. The beet cards handed in were:—C. J. Renkes, 3 up; I. Mac Ewen, 3 up; H. It. H. Balneavls, 1 up; and J. G. Parker, 1 up The usual weekly bogey match, resulted in another tie, C. W. JD. Bell, I. MacEwan, and J. B. Parker and M. Duncan all being three up. Next Saturday afternoon there will be men's foursomes for the Ranfurly Cup. This is an annual fixture, and is the only men's fdursoine played duving the year. The cup is held at present by A. Amies and V. G. Rhind, who won it last year after a tie with L. Wliitcombe and K. Dougins. There are still, five matches to be played in the second round of the Ward Cup tournament, which has to bo completed this week-end. Winners in this round to date are:—V. G. Rhind, J. B. MacEwan, G. H. S. Wann, A. M. Whitcombe, A. D’iacan, C. J. Reakes, J. B. Parker, A. Strang, H. G. Robertson.
