CONTINUED SUCCESS OF “SCABAMOUOHE.” The greatest of all Bafael Sabatini’s masterpieces, “Scaramouche,” is showing to crowded houses every night at the King’s Theatre, after a phenomenal run at the De Luxe. No period of history lends itself to romance more effectively than that of the French Revolution, and the years immediately preceding it. The luxury, the pride and the beauty of the old regime, and for oontrast the sheer brutality of the Revolution aro the elemental stuff of which great dramas are horn, and in “Soaramouehe,” the glory that was France’s, and the tragedy that was hers also, are shown in Rafael Sabatini’s great masterpiece. “To the lamp-posts with the aristocrats!” was the cry, and “Scaramouche” tells in thrilling romance of these red days .of the revolution that utirrod the world. In bringing this noted novel off Sabatini to tho screen, Rex Ingram has made a masterpiece.
