RECORD ATTENDANCE COMING ATTRACTIONS. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, December 8. To-day the New Zealand and South Seas International Exhibition entered on its fourth week, haring in tbe first three weeks piled up a wonderful attendance record of 312,738. The first event on the sports ground since the official opening by the Governor -General will be tomorrow’s grand display of physical drill by 300 pupils from all the primary schools of Dunedin, which will be the biggest demonstration of its kind ever seen in the city. Then on Saturday afternoon the girls’ sports meeting, which had to be postponed owing to bod weather last Saturday, will be held, and as the girls naturally have hosts of backers the event is expected to excite wide interest. The girls’ gports meeting will be the first of its kind in Dunedin, as up till now such contests have been restricted to girls’ schools and colleges. To-night a large audience in the Festival Hall greeted with warm demonstrations of enthusiasm the performance of the “Messiah” by the combined force of the Choral Society and Male Choir, augmented by members from the Exhibition Choir. Specially engaged singers took the solos; Madame Winnie Frn&er (6apr3.no), Madame Irene Ainsley (contralto), Arthur Jordan (tenor), and Harrison Cook (bass). The stage will now be re-arranged for a four weeks’ season of ooertume comedy by “The Diggers,” who are due to open on Saturday night.
