Investments which have successfully met every test in one thousand and fifty cifies of the world must be securities worth knowing more about. Such is the . record of the Yellow Cabs —a taxi system which produced a good service and handsome returns to shareholders. A system carried out under exactly similar lines is being introduced to Wellington by well-known local business men and will bo known as the Black end White Cabs, Ltd. It will give to the publio a perfect travelling facility at a cheaper rate than the existing LEGAL fares. The lower scale to be charged by Black and White Cabs, Ltd., will make taxi travelling 60 popular that there will be room for an additional hundred Cabs. Wellington is particularly suitable for a taxi system. It ib the centre of tourist traffic. It is the hub of New Zealand commerce. Moreover the whfirves and. the railway stations are some distance apart. Tho minimum fare charged by the Black and White Cabs, Ltd., will be Is 6d against the present legal fare of 2s.’ 6d. The reason why such a low scale can be put in operation is because dead running will be £ut out. The explanation is simple. A person living in Brooklyn rings up the taxi stand in Courtenay place for a Cab to take him to Thorndon Station. Although he may not hove known it before the taxi driver charges him for the run from the stand to Brooklyn, from Brooklyn to Thorndou Station, from Xhorndon Station back to the Courtenay place stand. Actually he has only travelled from Brooklyn to the Station. The BJack and White Cab© will be operated from various points in the city. After currying'a “fare" each Cab wifi return to tno nearest depot and await another tail. Thus unpaid running will be eliminated. A meter in full view of tile public records the amount oi ; the fare and safeguards the passenger against being overcharged. A limited number of shares m tnis proposition is available, and the email investor will find it to his advantage to take up some. Send to-day for a copy of Prospectus to tlio Secretary, Air n.. J.
