SUPPORT NOT ASSURED

FRENCH FINANCIAL SCHEME DELAY INEVITABLE. ' Heater's Telegram. (Received November 8, 7.5 p.m.) . ' PARIS, November 8. The finance committee of the Chamber of Deputies, bv 17 votes to 14, resolved to. urge the Government to avoid inflation, and specified various points on which it disagreed with the Government's financial proposals. The committee agreed that the creation of a sinking fund is essential, but raised serious objections regarding the scope of tbe fund, and/expressed the desire .to hear M. Painleve, the Prime Minister, before deciding. Hence a >few days’ further delayis inevitable. Though 'subsequently they turned down a Communist motion for tbe definite rejection of the proposals, the Radical socialists voted against them in order to emphasise their desire to make the Government’s scheme the basis of discussion.
