A Further Exposure of the TWISTING' TACTICS OF THE N.Z. ALLIANCE In February of this year, Colonel W. L. Barker, Northern Division, U.S. Salvation Army, made the following statement in the editorial office of the St. Cloud Daily Times (Minnesota): “Prohibition has so materially affected society that we have girls in our rescue homes who are fourteen and fifteen years old f while twenty yearn ago the youngest was in the early twenties.** Tlie “St. Cloud Dally Times" Is a newspaper with an unimpeachable record, and has been published dally lor the past 64 years*. Colonel Barker’s indictment of Prohibition has been republished in a number of reputable journals-and is ABSOLUTELY TRUE. The Editor of “Cheerio” republished the statement and was accused of inventing it. The Continuance Party immediately published photographs which proved conclusively that the N.Z. Alliance was guilty of falsehood. SPECIAL NOTESix whole weeks have elapsed since the Salvation Army asked Colonel Barker to deny his Statement. COLONEL.
