HOSPITAL BOARD’S NEEDS
WANTED—£ISO,OOO FINANCING BUILDING PLANS. In order to enable the Wellington Hospital Board to finance its building plans, which have been approved by the Minister for Health, an application is to he made to obtain tlie Minister’s consent to a loan amounting to £150,000 for a currency of 20 years at 6 per cent. An application which has been submitted to the Public Trustee for terms of a loan of £IOO,OOO for immediate requirements has been approved. The position of tlie two previous loans raised by the hoard is as follows: — No. 1 Loan. Debit sale of debentures, £50,000; interest on fixed deposits, £3lB 15s. Total, £50,318 15s. Credit.—Repayment Rhodes’s loan. £4700; Victoria Hospital roadway and connecting corridor. £BOO3 17s 9d; additions nurses’ homo, £10,938 6s lOd; part purchase of match factory £13,486 18s lid; lift, £580; admin, and G.U. block, £12,609 11s 6d. Total, £50,318 15s. No. 2 Loan. Debit. —Sale of debentures, £21,900. Credit.—Admin, and G.U. block, £1385 19s lOd; balance, October 10th, 1925, £20,514 0s 2d. Total, £21,900. ' Commitments. . Balance of present contract, £137,855; architects’ feeß, £3380; connecting corridor, £SO; clerk of work salary, £635.
