AFTER HOURS
SALE OF CIGARETTES ANOTHER BATCH OF OFFENDERS. At the Magistrate’s Court, yesterday, before Mr C. R. Orr-Walker, S.M., Mr R T. Bailey, of the Department of Labour, proceeded against a number of shopkeepers for failing to observe the statutory half-holiday, and selling cigarettes after hours. The following penalties were imposed, together with 7s costs in each case:— Arthur She, £3; Wong Tong, £2; N. Lee Chong. £1 10s; R. Collinson. .£2; P. D\iggan. .£1 10s: R.
