DUNLOP AND GOODYEAR COMPANIES. A London cable, recently published, stated that the British Dunlop Rubber Company h.ad united with the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Company. “This report has absolutely no foundation in fact,” says Mr A. C. Hammond, general manager for New Zealand of the Goodyear organisation. The Goodyear firm has not made any overtures to the British company on the subject, neither have we beert approached by the Dunlop people regarding such a move. It is incomprehensible how such a canard was originally circulated.”
