SMALL TABLE TOUKNEY. There was some interesting: billiards in the above tournament at Billiards, Limited's showrooms. The first game was between Gilberd (rec 45) and Gibb (rec.; 50), and was very evenly contested, just a-few .points separating the players until the ..finish. The final scores were: Gilbert 200; Gibbs 160. £ Th*» second game was between Recce (scr.) and R. Carr (rec. Reece played well and was not I<mg in- getting ahead of the handicap. Carr, who is just a boy, had a bad run with the balls, but put up qiluto a creditable performance. Recce reached his points when Carr was 153.
The third game was between Pope (rec. 50) and J. W. Carr (rec. 50V and resulted in a win for Pope. Filial scores were: Pope 200, Carr 139. * ' “ The most interesting game' was between Tucker (owe 210) and Lockett (rec 90» Tuckei was not able to 'settle down to his usual game for a time, with the result that he was over 200 points behind when Lockett only wanted 26 points ti* reach his total. Ho made quite 8 number of good breaks, but was unable to reach his opponent, with the result that Lockett got to his points When Tucker wante (1113. The Inst game was between Billmati (rec. 25) and Marrin (owe 15), and resulted in a win for Marrie after a really good game. Final scores: Marris 215. Hillman 184. The best breaks were: Tucker 49, 30, 37, 29, .25, 24: Reece, 34, 24: J. W. Carr. 22; Lockett. 21; Morris, 55, 46, 27: Billman, 21.
LAST NIGHTS GAMES Sis further games in the small table tournament were played at Billiards, Limited, and several of the contests were closely contested. Duncan defeated Brackenridge by 310 to 228; Jackson defeated Baker by 255 to 264; Coker defeated J!. Bull b> 200 to 166; Mason defeated Miller by 230 to 200; Fossette defeated E. 1. Bull by 230 to 216; and A. Carr defeated Compton. The best breaks were: Duncan, 22, (42, 28, 27, 41, 30, 52- Coker, 28, 20; Bracken ridge. 20; Jackson, 24; Baker, 21. 34. 30; Miller, 33. 2t; Mo*on. 2S, 23; Fossefte, S 3, 31, 39, 21; Carr, 29, 33.
