LOCAL COMMITTEE MEETS.
A meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Rugby Union was held last night, when the following were present:—Messrs J. Prendeville (in the chair), G.*F. L. Jackson, H. Murphy, A. Lindsay, A. Jackson, J. S. Millard, and A. 13. Ncilson (secretary). The Manawatu Union wrote cancelling the third grade curtain-raiser mutch for Saturday next. . The Poneke Club wrote agreeing to play the National Mutual Cup match against Old Boys on October 3rd. The Y.MiC.A. Club was granted permission to play a seven a side tournament on Saturday next.’
