THE PRICE OF WHEAT no purohases’for six months. Par Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, September 19. In regard to the statement made in Parliament that merchants were buying wheat at 6s 8d per bushel and selling it at 7s 3d, the merchants say that no wheat has been bought for five months for 6s Bd, and in and out of store charges, together with storage, shrinkage, and insurance eat well into the margin.
