Gilt-Edged Investments The following loans issued by the Wellington City Council in debentures of £ 100 each are now offered to the public. Hutt Road Construction Loan £50,000 £35,900 has already Been raised, and the balance of £14,100 is available to the public. The loan is for a period of 8 years and 8 ' months, repayable on 31st March, 1934. x Interest at 5& per cent, is payable halfyearly on 31st March and 30th September. Milk Supply Loan £38,000 ”hia loan is for the very short period of 4 years and 6 months, and is repayable on Ist March, 1930. The nominal rate of interest is 5£ per cent., but as the £IOO debenture will be sold' for £99, this investment, including redemption, will yield £5 11s Id per cent. Interest will be paid half-yearly on Ist March and Ist September. Attractive Features for Investors The loans and the Interest and Sinking Fund are secured on special rates. The Debentures are redeemable at par on the due dates. ' Interest commences immediately an investment is made. Investors within New Zealand will receive interest and repayment principal free of exchange. Trustees may invest in these Municipal Debentures.
