AN INTERESTING EDUCATION
NEW ZEALAND'S NOBLE HISTORY. New Zealand's noble history is not as it might be. but at last, in the medium of a motion picture, a method has been placed before the Wellington public—a method which makes the study of our history a delightfully interesting education, People who take advantage of seeing "Rewi's Last Stand" at the Strand Theatre this week will fully realise what possibilities lie in education by motion picture. Mr Rudall Hayward, by producing this film, lias given New Zealand its first super-feature. This masterpiece of local industry was recently released in Auckland, and the public support and praise from all sections must have made those responsible for the production highly pleased with the reward of their efforts. The story is a blending of authenic history and a delightful love story. The ihistorical portion of the picture was in the capable hands of Mr James Cowan, the authority on New Zealand history, and those acquainted with Mr Cowan's books can rest assured that this part of the production is faithfully represented in every way. One of the finest instances of Maori bravery and endurance occurred at the Battle of Orakau, and it is extremely doubtful if anything finer can be found in history. In support are a Charlie Chaplin picture entitled "The Adventurer," the ninth episode of "In the Days of Daniel •Boone," a. comedy cartoon and a topical budget. Harry Avery's Jazz Band renders delightful tunes during the evening sessions.
