DIFFICULTY OVERCOME PROPOSALS ACCEPTED. Per Press Association. ' AUCKLAND, September 9. The proposals drafted by the tramways committee of the City Council and submitted to the/Tramways Union with a view to overcoming the difficulty over recording of running time at clocks at the sides of the roads have been accepted by the union. The immediate result of the agreement will be that the ringing of clocks on footpaths will be discontinued from to-day. As the clocks are re-erected in the centre of the road between tbe tracks, they wi' i come into use again, until the whole recording system is restored.
