The arrest of a woman, who calls herself Lady Grace Esme McKenzie, at Tampa, Florida, has caused a good deal of social stir in many American citieß. The woman’s arrest on a charge of issuing a worthless cheque for 200 dollars ended a 10 days’ search following an unsuccessful attempt by the publishers of her book on American society life to collect 5000 dollars. The police say that she was horn in Wisconsin, and 1 took the title of “Lady” when her first husband, an Englishman, Mr Conrad McKenzie died. Lately she married Mr Frank Jennings. They promoted a highjy-vision-ary scheme to reclaim 800,000 acres of Florida tidelands.
