A new type of electric lump has teen patented, containing two standard filaments, each of which can he burned separately. It is claimed to give twice the service of an ordinary tube. The Pasteur Institute of France is raising monkeys and apes on a large farm in French Gninea, Africa. These animals are desired for experimental purposes in studying typhus, typhoid ar.J other diseases.
