YESTERDAY’S SITTING. At thfe sittipg of the Magistrate's Court held yesterday morning, Messrs T. H. Coltman and A. A. Gower, J.P.'s, presided. Frederick Emanuel Simmies, charged with theft of .£lB from Herbert Gibbard. was remanded till July 15th. Raleigh Ginsberg, charged with the theft of £IOO from W. H. Trilford, was remanded till July 15th, bail for £4OO being renewed. ■William Joseph Barry, charged with attempted suicide, was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon, within a period of six months. George Thornham, a stowaway on the s.s. Maunganui, was fined £l. George William Thorpe, manager of C. W. Brice, Ltd., on a charge of the theft of £5 2s 6d from his employers, was remanded till July H>th.
