Performed promisingly, but without the expected success this season. Black Art, 10.1. BLACK ART ran off while leading in Wanganui Steeplechase, after going about a mile. SIR AVAI- did not finish in either of his two starts over country. First Line, 9.0. FIRST LINE has performed poorly this year* having shown no pace. He secured a third at Hawke’s Bay. May be he is how a light of other days. Lhke, 9.0. LUKE ran second at Hawke’s Bay on the second day] hut. the class was poor. He fell in tho Hunt’Club Steeples next time out, through interference.
