FOOTBALLER’S DEATH
OPPONENT TO STAND TRIAL. By Telegraph. Prwn As«n.—Cnnvright. ADELAIDE .July 3. At the inquest on the death of John Purcell, the coroner found that death was due to meningitis, induced by a blow struck by William Harold Oliver. Oliver was committed for trial on a charge of manslaughter. Oliver, a prominent inter-State League football player, struck Purcell during a match at Berri. on June 20th, and Purcell died on the 22nd.
