POISON FIEND CONVICTED
Upon complaint of a neighbour tho San Francisco Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals investigated the case of a woman of means who placed out poisoned meat to destroy her neighbours* chickens. One hundred and twenty-five chickens were found dead the next tmoruiug. The society prosecuted the woman, wlm was convicted in tho Superior Court ami fined itfO, or GO days* I imprisonment, She paid the fine.
