FUSION CONFERENCE

NO RESULT YET PROCEEDINGS CONTINUE TO-DAY UTMOST GOODWILL The committees of Reform and Liberal members sat at Parliament House yesterday afternoon to discuss fusion, but no result has yet been reached. The Reform representatives were Messrs J. A. Young, T. D. Burnett, W. J. Girling, and O. Hawken. The Liberals were Messrs R. Masters, W. A. Veitcb, G. Fbrbes, and A. J. Murdoch The conference was commenced at *2.30 p.m., sat for about three hours, when it was announced that an adjournment till 10 a.m. to-day had been made. No information was available beyond the statement that the proceedings had been marked by the utmost goodwill on both sides.
