WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION MEETING. Last evening was held the meeting of the Wellington Football Association. Mr W. Duncan presiding. Messrs H. Spolsky, F. H. Smyth, R. Weir, W. Haseltine, W. Wilson, H. Heath, B. Mabin, P. Banks, A. Harding, and A. Williams (secretary) were also present. Tho following applications for transfers were granted: C. Brown, from Scottish Wanderers to Brooklyn; J. Holme, from Y.M.C.A. senior B team to the Caledonian junior team; and T. Phillips, from the Seatoun fourth B to the Miramar fourth B team. It was decided that next week’s senior B matches be counted as the second round of the Victory Cup contests. A request was received from the Institute Club’ that the senior team bo allowed to withdraw from the Chatham Cup competitions.—Granted, provided the npproval of the New Zealand Association bn obtained. The secretary was instructed to write to tho Referees’ Association informing them that ten minutes’ grace only be allowed for the late commencement of matches. A request was received from the Johnsonvillo delegate, that, reports to the contrary being at present in circulation, it bo announced that certain Jolinsonville players he exonerated from a charge of using bud language on tho field of play. A Waterside junior fourth division player, ordered off for rough tactics during the recent game, Watorsiders v. Miramar Rangers, fourth grade, was suspended for one playing fixture. A Miramar Bangers fourth grade player, ordered off for dangerous piny during the latter half of the same match, was also suspended for one playing Saturday. The New Zealand F'oolhall Association wrote requesting the Wellington Football Association’s confirmation of June 271 h as the date of the Brown Shield match, Aucklnnd v. North Auckland, and of August Bth ns the date of the Auckland v. Wellington contest. These dates wore confirmed. The parent body also advised that the date for completing tlie preliminary rounds of the Chatham Cup cuntests hail been extended to July 18tl\.
