£637 GRANTED TOWARDS REMODELLING. (Special to “N.Z. Times.”) OTAKI, May 23. Mr Brandon (chairman of the Otaki State School Committee) has received a letter from Mr C. I. Harkness, one of the district’s representatives on the Education Board, stating that he is pleased to be able to Advise that the department has granted £537 towards the remodelling of the school. It is now Mr Harkness’s intention to apply for a further sum (£400), which would enable a good job to be made at tho school. A new room, built to the present infant department, could he applied for later.
