(Received April 17, 9.45 p.m.) MELBOURNE, April 17. At tho inquest in 'connection with the level-crossing smash at Highett, tho coroner committed AV. Resuggan, the gatekeeper, tor trial on a charge of manslaughter, stating that the accident was caused by his criminal neglect.
Eight! persons were killed when an electric parcels coach crashed into a motor-car at a level crossing near Higliett, 13 miles from Melbourne, late at night on March 23rd.
