LIGHTNING RISKS
It is calculated that the possibilities are that a man standing directly under a storm cloud would be struck by lightning 15 times in one hundred strokes, while a man flat on the ground would be struck only once in a hundred strokes. The figures apply only if the man is isolated. The chance that a thunder cloud of a sufficient voltage to cause a discharge wili be over a particular object ia small, and thus the likelihood of any particular object being struck is very slight indeed.
