Selig, president of the New Zealand Trotting Association, a cable message giving sonic further information regarding the chnmpionshi contests which are being held in Forth. Mr Biennnn, in his message, soys the New Zealand horses, especially Great Hope,

were not at their best owing to a slight further mishap. The concluding event, two miles, will be' decided next Saturday, and, in my opinion, Great Hope will win if anything like himself. J. Bryce, Junr., driver of Great Hope, is not too fit, haviag received an injury to two of his ribs. The points scored so far are:—Vin Direct 6, Kola Girl 4, Great Hope 3, Taraire 1. ■. J -
