SWEPT AWAY BY CURRENT. BODY NOT RECOVERED. Per Press Association. ROTORUA. March 23. A telephonic message from Taupo states that a young man, William Otto, employed at the Geyser Valley Hotel, W.airakei, while bathing yesterday with companions in the Waikato river, was caught in the swift current and swept away. His companions were powerless +o assist. The body has not been recovered. It is understood that deceased’s relatives reside at Newton. The police party is searching the river below the rapids.
