Present indications (4 p.m. yesterday) are for strong easterlies northwards of New Plymouth and Napier, and moderate to strong variable winds between north-east and south-east prevailing elsewhere. Weather fair and hazy generally, but becoming dull and misty shortly, especially in the northern, southern and east ooast districts. Barometer has a temporary falling tendency.
