MAY ACT IN MOVIES NEXT. MELBOURNE, March 7. C. J. de Garis is now a lice man once more. Ho says he is ’going to make good. Just at present lie is writing a. book ■ —the story of his life—but soon ho hopcii to become a movie, idol. He has received from a film director in Sydney a tempting offer to take the lead in a moving picture production, the idea being to weave into' it tho story of do Garis’s achievements. He also possesses ail invention, he says, that may revolutionise wireless. “I want to make it clear,’’ said do Garis to-day, '‘that anything I earn from those'activities over and above ordinary living expenses will go towards the reduction of my liabilities.
