AMATEUR TENNIS
DRASTIC REGULATION. PLAYERS CALLED TO ACCOUNT. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, March 19. A sensation has been created in the lawn tennis world-by the Tennis Association’s drastic action in reference to tournament players’ expenses. E. D. Helmore, who was recently only temporarily suspended in connection with the tennis team he took to Paris last ■ autumn, has now had his suspension extended to tho end of the year. All the other players, including Von Braun, E. Higgp, S. M. Jacobs, and A. H. F.yzee, have received notices intimating that penalties may be inflicted unless they reveal in detail the amount- of the hotel expenses paid by the Paris Club, and deposit their proportion thereof.
The Tennis Association has fd' vidden players to accept a lower than others while staying at during tennis tournaments.
