At a London wharf a barge-load of 40,0(10 bricks can b" unloaded betwe.-n sunrise and sunset. The method adopted is to nass the bricks un out of the barge from man to man m “bands” of five bricks, the last man stacking the bricks on the wharf. Tims in a day’s work each man handles 100 tons if bricks.
