TBINITX- ' The St. Peter’s Lawn Tennis Club played an association tennis match :with Trinity Club on the*':latter’s courts at Newtown on Saturday, A yery enjoyable afternoon was the .standard of tennis being quite good .slid most of 'the (tames evenly contested.; Trinity ran out the winners by 8 matches to 4,’ aud 73 games' to 33. Thornton lost to Mrs Sissons and Brown. 4—7; Mis Mat’hieson and It. V. Thornton beat Miss Prince and Sissons, 7—6; Miss William* son and Brav lost to Miss Williams end Fantliorpe. 3—7; Miss Snell and Sword- • lost to Miss H. Boberts; and B. Nees, o—7; Miss’Thornton and Guy lost to Miss G. lloberts and Kerr. 4—7. Toadies’ Doubles.—Miss Harrington rnd Miss Wilde beat Mesdames Nees-and Sissons. 6—5; Mrs Mfthieson and .Miss Williamson beat Misses Prince'and-Williams, 6—2; Misses Snell and Thornton lost to Misses iH. and G.
